AQUATEX / WHY AQUATEX
Two men, no crane, one day.
The whole tank arrives in a container and goes together by hand. That single fact changes the cost, the logistics and the sites you can build on — versus fibreglass and concrete.
120 m³ OF TANK · ONE 40′ CONTAINER
Modular polymer vs fibreglass vs concrete.
Same job — a sealed reservoir below ground. Very different day on site.
| AQUATEX (modular PP) | Fibreglass (GRP) | Concrete | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Installation | By hand, no crane | Crane + lift required | Crane / cast in place |
| Heaviest element | 85–115 kg | Whole tank, tonnes | Tonnes |
| Tight / low-access sites | Yes — carried in | Hard | Hard |
| Transport | Standard 40′ container — 120 m³ | Oversized / project cargo | Local pour or heavy haul |
| Volume flexibility | Modular, effectively unlimited | Fixed tank sizes | Bespoke, slow |
| Corrosion | None — polypropylene | None | Can degrade / crack |
| Recyclable | Yes — PP | Difficult | No |
| Production speed | Injection-moulded, fast | Slow hand layup | Cure time on site |
| Relative installed cost | Lower | Higher | Higher, labour-heavy |
Comparison is directional and typical for underground water reservoirs; exact figures depend on volume, site and market. Ask us for a like-for-like on your project.
Why “no crane” is the whole point.
A fibreglass or concrete tank of the same volume arrives as one heavy object. You need a crane, a wide access road, and a lift plan. AquaBox arrives as elements no heavier than 115 kg — two people carry them into the pit and assemble the tank in place. The reservoir is watertight, buried, and the surface above is handed straight back to landscaping or parking.
Injection-moulded, container-ready.
Moulded, not laid up
Identical elements come off the mould consistently and fast — no slow hand layup, no weeks per tank.
Flat-packs into a container
A 40′ container holds about 120 m³ of tank. Ordinary FCL freight to any port — no special permits.
Sized to the site
Add modules for more volume. One system covers 10–120 m³ and beyond, without new tooling.
Built for decades
Mineral-filled polypropylene: corrosion-proof, recyclable, easy to inspect and clean.
